Day 4
a famous face
is a shorthand for
trust.
That’s why famejacking works, people don’t click if they don’t trust.
So when you have a non- famous guest, you have a trust problem.
Look at these 2 thumbnails:
How do I know
these people have worthy advice?
They aren’t famous.
So using their face isn’t very effective.
Solution….?
when you can’t borrow their fame,
borrow their expertise.
Now….
Look at these 2 thumbnails again:
These are clickable
even without titles
that’s
credibility jacking.
(and btw- both of those first thumbnails still have a ton of credibility from Ali’s face and DOAC’s logo
but with the credibility jacking they would succeed even without Ali/ Doac branding)
if there’s
no celebrity,
show credibility.

the thumbnail mistake that cost DOAC millions of views
